Requiescat In Pace
Jørgen Morild

One of Dansk XL CC’s and Danish cricket’s pioneers is no longer with us.

At 2 am on 30 January 2012, Jørgen Morild died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Dansk XL has much to thank him for and will be eternally grateful for his contribution over many years.

In a recent conversation, he could not hide how happy he was with the fact that Dansk XL had fared extremely well in the past few years. However, he was a little sad that the club did not play against the schools, which was the original main aim for the club.

Jørgen Morild played 114 games for Dansk XL, scoring 1885 runs, including one century, at an average of 19.64. He was rarely allowed to bowl or was too kind to put himself on, yet he still took 31 wickets at an average of 12.71.

Out thoughts are with his wife, Lydia and the rest of his family.

INSURANCE RISK SOLUTIONS

The company Insurance Risk Solutions currently provides generous sponsorship over 3 years to the Forty Club and we are delighted to report that they have recently agreed to continue for another period.

Members will have seen their details in the page advertisement in the Handbook and the banner advert in the Newsletters.

Club members will help the Club's cause in terms of IRS's continued support if they were to make the effort to engage with them, even if only when searching for a quote.  The possibility is that in order to gain new business and break in with new clients, IRS may present a lower quote than other competitors.

So if your house or car or travel policies are approaching a renewal date, would you take a moment to ask IRS to quote for your business?

You can contact them via 01284 777560 or via email to bernie.aldous@insurancerisk.co.uk

You will have nothing to lose by doing so
